This is a straight-up crock of dark cherry preserves made with fresh vanilla bean dang that should be all I need to say but I'll say so much more: I rate this vin as that reliable friend who is also a colleague or a potential colleague. As all artists in LA are wont to be, hehehe. Ya never know who is who might develop into a star but you've got a feeling. But you like this friend/colleague. You respect them. They are strong and balanced and have within them the strength and acid wit to make you think they may develop into a super-success. AKA I wish I'd bought more than one so I could try this in a couple years. You kinda wish that whatever they may become (which you expect to be great) they were now. You wish you'd bought 2 bottles of this friend (ahem) because you suspect in 3 years they will be more complicated in delightful ways. Oof. But right now you really adore this friend. Clos du Joncuas is gonna stay in your life. It's a partnership based on trust and love. Also! Analysis of our friend: Body: purple ruby dark and thick slow tears. Zee nose: blueberries, blackberries,a hint of black currant, vanilla and clove. And cinnamon. Mellow cinnamon. On the tongue: dry, hallelujah because wine like humor (in your snobby opinion) are best dry. Medium acid, tannins are medium. Alcohol is getting up on the high side (if you cannot tell from my notes) and the body is smooth, medium strength and persuasive. More dark fruit on the palate.

Very good wine, decanted for about an hour and it's fantastic. Long finish, bold fruits, very impressed for the $25 price point
