1977 vintage opened up beautifully. Not the lightest vintage a little tough and tannic but in an interesting not unpleasant way. Nothing particularity fruity or even that sweet. Has a kind of density to it after about 4 hours of decanter. That seems like the most time it needs. It has a certain spicyness to it that continues and grows slightly even after you have taken your sip (-J)
