No longer classified as a Classico because of Chianti's political needs, this family does an amazing job. This is so juicy and fresh, tannin is easily ignored and soft. Cherry cherry cherry

Hard to switch to Sangiovese after 2 hours of tasting ethereal white and red burgs. This was okay with dinner but was hard to wrap my mind around.

Light and lifted. If based entirely on drinkability it'd be a ten

Simply outstanding. I wish I had a case. Drink it now and don't regret it!

@Lyle Fass suggested we try this Chianti so we scheduled a visit in Tuscany during our last trip there. Our somm friend in Florence, upon hearing we were going but that we'd never tasted the wine, opened the bottle on the spot and poured us each a half glass. The 2012 is elegant and aromatic--an achievement in the vintage--while the 2010 we carried home from the winery is one of the best young Chiantis I've had. (Posted in another note).
