Sipping Fine Wine

In 1993, hospitality industry veteran Ken Forrester and his wife Teresa purchased historic Scholtzenhof estate, in Stellenbosch. Originally established in 1689 as Zandberg, the property is one of the oldest wine farms in the Cape. Light straw with gentle stone fruit aromas with earthy notes. On the palate peach and grapefruit with grassy tones, vivid acidity on a medium mineral finish.

Pleasant easy to drink Steen. But named Chenin Blanc. Medium golden. Nicely intense. Even though it finishes clean and short. Stone fruit. A touch floral. Persimmons Bosc pear and luscious. Enjoyable.
