Still vibrant and energetic with dark fruit and grip. Has at least 10+ years before it starts losing that intensity

I'm generally not fun of '88 Medoc's (Ch. Margaux tasted blind recently was 90 pts. to me).

However this was actually showing really nice tonight and starting to shed those harsh tannins I associate with the vintage....perhaps patience is just required and this could turn into another overlooked (Left-Bank) vintage like the 1966?

Elegant. No sign of decline in this one.

Desiccated red cherries in mature cigar box sprinkled with beef jerky dust. Fine/dusty tannin. Delicious long finish.

A well-built and solid pauillac that's not the least bit tired. Don't overlook just because of the lauded '89s and '90s.

Classic Bordeaux. Nice aromatics, a tinge of brett, softening tannins. Shows well now but could age another decade

Exquisite, still some red fruit and fruit leather. Touch of soy and leather. Minimal barnyard. Just an excellent wine. Surprisingly little sediment.

Decelles. Past peak

Took 3 hours in decanter to open up, but was beautiful when it did.
