This wine needs TIME to open up. Great winery in Sonoma, beautiful setting in Healdsburgh. Wine has dark ink color, strong but somehow soft tannins. Once in opens up you get dark cherries, tobacco, and leather on the nose. New World Syrah in an Old World style. Different but quality wine.

Amazing balance, definitely not your typical jammy, high abv cal Syrah. Opened up nicely after 1hr, long finish- wish I had more.

Jul 19th, 2016I'm not completely sure this bottle wasn't flawed. There was an off putting yeasty quality that was really prevalent at first then somewhat blew off but never really went away. I have a couple more. Hopefully they are more in line with everyone else's.
