Starting to finally hit its stride, though with a long ways to go yet. The clenched fist holding the grapefruit, peach and blackberry fruit basket has started to unclench, and there's more of Mourvedre's feral side starting to peak out and buff away the hard edges. Better after 3 hours in the decanter, many more years to go.

Gonna have to get a case of this and age it for a long long time, it's a baby, very intense, the tart red fruit up front turns to leather and tar on the finish, once it (hopefully) develops some Brett to tame the fruit (Brett and mouvedre are like peanut butter and jelly to me) and the wine softens it's going to be sublime.

On the light side of medium bodied. Slightly bretty in a balanced way that you rarely find domestically.

pretty rare that I find new world attempts at old-world wine successful. always happy to be proven wrong. lean. mean. grapefruit notes. nice texture. really showcases the grape well

Good wine, but in an awkward state. It seemed to be pulling in different directions without cohesion among its parts. Everything is there, so with time it may straighten out... or fall apart. I'll hold onto the other bottle I have for a while.

Tons of bright, sour red fruit, but more savory than I remember. Definitely funk toward the finish with almost a raspberry chocolate note. Tasting good now but I bet this still has many years of life left.

Tart cherry/cranberry, leather. It has a nice edge to it. Well done
