What a wine. Westhofen continuing to challenge my Mosel loyalty. Richly spiced nose - allspice inflected apricots and rocks, with some of that lanolin character, which I sometimes find in riper Riesling. Full and weight in the mouth, with apricot/rainier cherry fruit, broad but focused. The finish is all Riesling - full of zip and drive. Long. Jochen Dreissigacker clearly paid close attention during his time with Keller.

Rich tropicality (almost coconut curry) along with the expected acidity make this a favorite.

Very excited about these wines. Jochen Dreissigacker worked at Keller for 3 years and his plot of Kirchspeil is adjacent. Similar depth of character in both producers.

Great density, lifted and mineral. From limestone soils (I think).
