I know the pic is wrong. Very pretty. Clear ruby with delicate edges. A sooo pretty nose. Light and defined. Excellent.

Lovely aromatics, smoke, incense, dark cherries. Rather light and gentle. Still prefer Marchad de Gramont.

Fresh, slightly green (stems?), primary. Warm fermentation? Quite lean on the palate. A bit more fruit would help. Very clear but a bit lacking in beauty or lushness.

Slow-oxing for a few hours Saturday didn't seem to do much so let it sleep overnight and came back to it Sunday for dinner. Definitely the right move. Lightly expressive nose of beef stock, red fruits, earth, some spice and herbs. Medium bodied on the palate with nice sweet red fruits, again some herbal notes, not profound but certainly lovely. Been holding off on opening this for a while, it's worth trying now if you have a few but my remaining bottles will see a few more years' age.

Subtle start to the mouth watering mid palate and a huge powerful finish.

Perfect old rose, bright cherry color. Beautiful old world funkiness combined with the most appealing and delicious cherry aromas, rose petal, very subtle clove and blueberry compote. Commanding entrance on the palate, unmistakeable old world Burgundy profile, very elegant, and concurring into amazing cherry acidity and magical structure. Long lingering finish. 94 pts.
