Cerro Encinas Blanco Montepila

Very natural - cloudy with meatballs and a sort of a pineapple cider twist

There is next to nothing online about Montepila, an obscure grape from Andalucia. This winemaker uses it for orange wine, really a pale peach hue with undertones of honeysuckle, apricot, and almonds. Delicious.

A fun orange wine, softer acidity but fun fruit with Szechuan dishes at Fung Tu.

Floral extended skin contact white with kites of ripened apricot. Who knew that an orange wine pairs songbird with egg noodles and black bean and clam.

A lightly "orange" wine made from the near-unknown Montepila grape. Savory with subdued yellow plum, Marcona almonds, beeswax & sand. A whiff of becoming VA, too.
