Cordeloux Côte-Rôtie Syrah

Floral but still dark and brooding. Meaty and hot tar but still fresh and lifted. So great so young. Can't imagine the heights this could reach.

Really impressive young wine particularly with a couple of hours in a decanter. Very expressive, floral nose and some real heft to the palate. Excellent. The 2012.

Dried flowers on the nose, a little hint of wild game. Great tannic structure and lingering finish.

I love the complexity of aromas: lavender bush, cider and smoky cedar chips. It's subtle on the nose. On the palate, I find the acidity a little bit out of balance. It slightly "burns" or feels annoying.

Beautiful, classic Côte-Rotie, notes of violets, bacon, subtle cherry and blackberry, leather. Shows great typicity for the AOC, excellent acidity and firm but finely grained tannin.

Also drinking amazing on day four. More blue and red fruits than the Voge. Dried violets, and Côte de Provence herbs, candied raspberries, pepper and dusty tannins. Lovely.

Exclusive Wine- 6-10 bottles produced per year. Paired with cornbread wrapped beef.

This was elegant & finessed showing good balance & length with notes of dark cherry, berry fruits, meat, olive, pepper, licorice & violet.

Wine of the night. Lobbed this one into a decanter, let it sit for 30 minutes, hello gorgeous. That nose, merci.
