Riper then expected, delicious and showing a lot character (mostly fruit) in its youthful stage.

Too young for sure. But mineral, black fruits, violets, lavender, ink, pepper. Want to taste again in 5 years.

Side by side with the 2003 this was a notch off but only because of its youth. 2011 and 2003 outperformed minor expectations that were not far off but maybe lower than expected. This just proves producer and terroir trump everything except mother nature.

Dark fruits with some serious stuffing. Drinking great on day four.

Another stop on today's "Tour d'Infanticide." Will be great soon. Is wound up and primary now.

I was expecting a modern style but this was quite balanced. With a solid decant this was drinking very well. Dark fruit, earthy core.

Our little (actually not that little anymore) wonder 11th birthday. Time for the yearly 2011! This Cornas is still very young and is just entering it’s drinking window according to me. Compared to previous two bottles the harmony is finally getting where it should be. Still quite some acidity but not overwhelming the fruit anymore. Quite complex

Needs air, but once it opens up. Whoa! Meaty, gamy (in a good way). Savory. Very long finish. Excellent with lamb.
