Simple and concentrated with an abundance of fruit. It is what it is and what it is is revealed on the first taste.

Just love the Rhino on the label! Ruby red with blue and black fruit aromas and woodsy spices. The palate focuses on the fruit and shows plum and cherry flavors with some oak and spice. Vivid acidity, smooth tannins and mineral hits on the medium finish.

Sweet red fruit scented and positively ripe, with clever oak treatment. Not really complex, but honest and more-ish.

Darker ruby color with hint of brownred tint; dark fruit dominated by cherries, some dried ripasso grape on the nose; very intense alcoholly, high acid on the palate, especially midpalate, tight unevolved and with some new oak, medium-short finish. Their Barbaresco, at twice the price, was thrice the better.

Lovely barbera, with a depth we rarely encounter with this varietal. Tannins, a bit of oak, and gorgeous fruit. This sings.

A very drinkable Italian red with a serious side. Dark, inky colour with balanced tannins, medium acidity and notes of stewed plums, blackberries and tobacco. A really great value.
