Dido Blanco Montsant White Blend

Chalk and bright preserved lemon and lime fruit. Nice balance and lovely poise. Ripeish fruit. Almost tangy

This was ideal for a Sunday luncheon; rich, textural with just a faint lick of fino - 2013

This was fun. Very ripe fruit but fair balance in all its Iberian goodness.

This wine is has some nutty oxidation (for this blend that's a good thing), and extended skin fermentation. Orange peel/oil, yellow peach, dried herbs, dry earth nose, adding oak spice and lees to that and very good acidity. The mid-palate weight makes this an awesome pairing with seafood paella or light to med-firm fish with orange zest and wild rice.

2013 Dido Blanco is so fresh. None of the waxiness from years past. Just clean and precise on the palate. Great wine for the price. Drink in volume.

Very good. Dry, nutty.

A bit on the heavy side, but not too much. Nutty, oily, citrusy goodness.

This is one of my favourite white wines right now. Ripe, complex, yet still fresh, skin contact done right.

Drank in Barcelona, with paella. Drier full bodied white, needs a strong food pairing
