Clos de la Maltroie Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay

Like old school Niellon. Big and viscous with lots of definition. Will it age? Let's hope.

2010. Lovely subtleties.

Good but not great. Powerful fruit. Decent balance. Not much beyond that. Has the power of what it is but no nuance.

2010 vintage; white peach with orange blossom fragrance, very slightly brioche; great balance w/o the "sweet" quality in many '10's due to Botrytis; clean with a long and expansive finish. Compelling!

Nice fruit with flinty and stoney elements on the palate. Palate was showing nicely with lemons, apples and pears. More on the malo. side than expected. Great for new world chard. drinkers wanting to branch out. Overall some very tasty stuff!!
