Elegant expression of Vosne spice and mixed red and black cherries. Silky, medium length, with moderate tannins. More-ish of not as impactful as the Grivot VR.

Way too young, but good intro to Mongeard-Mugneret. Deeply pitched black cherry liqueur and bewitching spice on the nose. A little more subdued on the palate, and some high quality oak evident on the finish. Surprisingly silky even now - moderate tannic grip on the finish. Maybe a touch hollow in the mid-palate right now, but a lovely village wine. Clearly lots of youthful promise - I wonder if some age will fill out that hollowness and bring a little velvet to the texture. My bet would be yes.
