Smokey and heavier than expected. Slight cranberry acid but surprisingly Syrah like. Herbaceous.

Grapes from a colder season so not as fruit forward as most Sangioveses. But still quite delicious. Medium-bodied. Went well with a homemade pasta bolognese.

Very nice CaliItal. More Sangiovese Grosso character than typical CA sangio. #unti low ABV for Dry Creek too

Had with pizza and wings. Would be better with pasta sauce. Quality and enjoyable.

Deep rich red fruit - sour cherry, plum with notes of tomato, leather, tobacco and thyme. Crunchy acidity with sturdy well integrated tannins. Very pleasing finish.
