Bought two bottles back in 2015 and drank the first within two weeks. My note at the time was “too young, wait two years.” Nearly 8 years later, I was worried I had waited too long, but this was in a great spot. Still fresh with a little CO2 on opening, a slight whiff of petrol and nice acidity. Definitely worth the wait.

Practically vibrates with fresh, bone-dry acid-driven nerviness

Excellent new world dry Riesling as noted in ‘17. Perhaps even better three years on. Opened for Bob Marie family’s visit to send Anna on to college. Only had three bottles so hopefully one more.

CVed and then opened 12/5/17. Blast of white fruits and minerals and stones on nose. Hint of petrol. Steely with bite on palate and long finish. Impressive Riesling from California! Seems to reflect that sunshine and ocean salinity instead of slate. Nose opens to almost white burgundy profile. Very interesting. Another great Acker 8. 250 cases. Unfiltered etc and a bit cloudy and precipitates.

Screaming acidity, and I really enjoyed the use of oak. It was both familiar and entirely new, which made it a treat to drink

Thanks for this one too @Jody Towe @Emily Towe had the crew banking on Alsatian Riesling. Ripping lemon acid and granny Smith apples. Still lovely Riesling petrol to boot.
