It wasn't the Madiran I wanted with this duck but I'm hardly suffering. Rich and savory. Blueberry, toast, and laurel. Maybe lacking just a hint of zing! and black pepper.

La guiraude is a special cuvée, this 2012 tasted more open than the regular crozes. Excellent though maybe not twice as good ;-)
