This bottle was faking the funk on a nasty dunk. Dark fruits and spice. Tannic still. Lots of life left.

Starts out like a plate of prosciutto, but after an hour becomes fleshy and perfumed, lots of violets and herbs. Last time I had one it was the 2008 and it’s but a faint good memory.

Just starting to show up for the party. I would still wait but damn. Such a cohesive whole with so many facets.

Starting to develop nicely--spicy red fruit (grenache influence), pine, earth. Could use 3-5 more years to unwind

Brett on the nose, very earthy. Almost like manure. Peppery and steely in the mouth, tannic but lithe and persuasive. Mineral-rich and gritty. The Grenache lends a good fruitiness, and a long earthy finish. Nice.
