Medium garnet, smells of cedar, earth and cherries. In the mouth, earthy notes of cherry, hazelnuts, cocoa and tobacco. Great acidity, long finish.

A great bottle, a bit more open than the last '06 I had a year ago. Should develop nicely for a long time to come. Nose, texture, structure, length--this has it all. No need to hurry on these though.

Lush smooth with a touch of farm. Ethereal. Like settling into a old comfortable at the end of the evening.

2006 vintage. Light ruby hue. Nose to die for: sous-Bois, meat and game, spice and white pepper, smoke and resin. Dark plum and blackberry. More Cote Rotie than Loire. Changing in the glass every few minutes. Huge complexity. On the palate, medium minus alcohol and body, medium plus acidity and concentration and long crisp finish. With Air, it gains weight and length. A wow wine that still seems very youthful. Drink now but could also hold back for another 5 years+. Excellent.

Probably one of the greatest wine I've ever tasted. It could've wait a little longer, but it was worth a shot! Great aromas on the nose of noble dust (and not in a bad way). We had to leave it alone for a while so the wine can develop on underbrush notes and lean towards mushroomy, to truffle characters. Very complex, very fresh on the palate as well, we got some red fruits flavors, strawberry, raspberry from 2006... but yet so fresh and so matured! Le Bourg is simply incredible, oh and the finish... you would not believe the length of this wine. Cabernet Franc at its finest! Perfection in a couple of years.
A shame that Nady is retiring soon... someone to takeover?
