Tasted blind. Yellow gold in the glass, with similar notes as the 96 BBM and Batard next to it. Massive acidity. More floral than the other two. Very rich. This went neck and neck all night with the Batard as the best of the three. At first I liked the Chevy more but the Batard was right there too. 97+

Popped for our 30th and taken to Sons & Daughters in SF. Straw gold color, still looks youthful. Spectacular nose. Notes of lemon curd, marzipan, wet river stones, white acacia flowers, tan spice and some petrol. Equally amazing in the mouth, this explodes in the glass with great structure and acidity, bounded by ample fruit. In short, this is everything you want in a white burg. Still easily has a decade or more of enjoyment at this peak performance. A top all time bottle for me.

This is a beautiful bottle. Mint, flint, a whiff of sulfur, jasmine. On the palate this is extraordinary. Fresh and vibrant with secondary notes of sweetness and tangy preserved lemon. Hugely complex but very integrated ad complete, and long. Fantastic

Lovely and mature beauty. Sleek and integrated, with purity, intensity and a regal feeling. Drinking wonderfully now

Epic with fresh white flowers wet stones stone fruits gives way to terrific freshness and intensity. In the mouth lemon and saline dominate with loads of dry extract and a whip lash of a finish with some toffee notes lingering saline lemon and touch of honey . A great wine !

From a perfect looking bottle bought 10 years ago in Paris at Caves de Taillevant where it was stored since release. Yellow gold color. Lemon, citrus, allspice, petrol, wet stone notes in the mouth. Huge acidity and structure in the mouth with great fruit. Overwhelming impact makes your face flush with the first big sip. Very long finish. My epiphany white burg wine many years ago delivers once again. Will certainly improve with another decade of age.

Light gold. Nose of bright sweet fruit, stone, petrol, honeysuckle and white flower. Huge in the mouth. Expansive. Breathtaking. With air, a butter popcorn nose. At peak but will last.

In a very good spot combining great primary and secondary qualities. Candied lemon and strong mineral components.

Full of energy. Vibrant fruit and minerality. Butterscotch notes start to emerge with an hour or so in a decanter.
