Cahors Malbec

Singing.

Fresh cut oak. Big fat blue/blackberries. Mexican vanilla. Chewy and thick. Drinking well now and for another three or four years.

Lovely example of Malbec from Cahors. Doesn't try to do too much yet does it all.

Aromas of underbrush, wet herbs. Good structure, rich and well-balanced albeit with quite some power. Warm with coffee and caramel on the palate.

Gotta love that French funk.

Decent ditch wine.

Pairing against a Chinon cab franc yet this Merlot is a lower octave. A hit of graphite

Earthy, dark fruit up front, dry finish.

Had multiple times at Bistro Royale. Excellent French Malbec. Blueberries and menthol on the nose. Great flavor with dark cherry on the back and juicy dark fruits on the front.

Delish and a big fan!
