From one of the region’s all-time greatest vintages, aromatic, musty and earthy on the nose with dried violets, the signature aroma of roses, damp forest floor, dried red cherries. The palate is amazingly fresh and vibrant despite its age with terrific depth and complexity. The finish is long and seductive. 💥

Very bright acid on the nose. Cherry and lovely lucid light fruit. Pretty on the front of the palate then a quite long but simple finish.

Totally vibrant lilac, violet, rose, tar. Balance and gorgeous structure. Tannins for days.

In this flight, not the standout. But shows the power of this vintage

Medium dark to lurid red... soft forest floor, sour Door County cherry, soft baseball-glove leather on the nose. Soft, silken attack with tannis resolved but enough acidity to keep the wine alive. Nice example of 40 year old Nebbiolo that sings with some of the best pasta on earth. Bravo!

A bit rustic and balsamic, but quite enjoyable.

Sadly, no longer in fine shape but the aromatics keep you interested. Fruit a bit overly dried out in nature. Still fun.
