Warm inviting comforting nose of warm plum compote, coffee grounds, cocoa, Indian spice, vanilla pods, kirsch and damp tropical forestfloor.
Mature impressions on the palate: chocolate, cappuccino, ink, compost, cigar. Figs, dates and plums taking it easy in the back.
Lots of matter and extract, built to impress. And it still does, after almost 20 years. Good definition of flavours, pretty harmonious and good balance for such a well-endowed, showy, ultramodern, hedonistic bottle of wine. This aging garagiste is both impressive and charming.
