Med ruby. Translucent. High pitched nose of rose petal, kirsch, port. Some heat in the mouth but pleasant over all. Still primary. Needs more time.

Wow. A nice and inexpensive auction purchase. This is transitioning out of its primary stage and has a singing nose of red berry with a bit of forest and truffle. Some tar is evident on the palate but less so on the nose. Tannins are forceful initially on the back palate but begin to recede with air. A lovely wine that will likely develop a bit more finesse as the tannins fade with age.

This wine opened up beautifully after about 20 minutes. Dry and tannic at first with an Amazing nose that revealed a gorgeous palate after 20 min or so. Another beauty that's been sitting in the back of my cellar for 14 years! I keep finding great wine!
