The age shows in this bottle. Getting that magic, older wine quality. Starts very light with red fruit; I tasted cherries first and then raspberries. Then you notice the oak: vanilla in with the fruit, extra complexity. The tannin only stands out at the end; still there after 11 years but perhaps fading, adding something nonetheless. Long dry finish with hints of raspberries inviting you to start it all again. At the price, I’d explore rather than buy again given the choice, but I wouldn’t say no to another sip.

Too young but this will be great in 3-5 years. Light at this stage but nice floral nose with plenty of spice -- went great with thai pork ribs. Still some bitterness on the finish -- this needs some time to come together but should be great when it does.
