Founded in 1956 by Michele and Giuseppina Chiarlo. Son of over 7 generations of wine growers, and a leading figure in Piedmont viticultural industry. Aromas of fresh sweet dark berry fruits & minty herb notes. Cherry, plum and minty flavors, some licorice, cola and cacao, well balanced with defined tannins. Complex lingering finish ending with nice earthy notes. Still has years to run.

This surprised me. Not overpowering as some Barolo can be. A little brooding with good tannins and expressive acidity
Reasonably long on the finish

Fine grain tannins with silky velvety texture vey fresh and bright cherry fruit red licorice spice and pretty floral notes very spiced and long finish tongue tingly acidity.

Opened up after 20 mins or so. Well balanced, smokey and nice tannins. A meat drinker. A+ vintage ready for action.
