Red fruit, earthy, leafy. Very pretty and it’s held up commendably over time. Delicate and traditional side of CDP. Tannins are still a bit underripe.

I was a little sceptical before opening the bottle - 2003 hmmmm! Big surprise - it wasn’t too old - it was smoky, leather, olive and mushrooms - still some tannins - no trace of the cabbage some old ch9 develop with age.

First rate Chateauneuf . Big body, tons of fruit, well balanced. Great with grilled beef.

Nice but very very ripe. This is a wine I would have loved 5 years ago and still enjoy now but is a bit too much for me. Lots of deep plumminess throughout.

Completely corked!! Like soaked through almost coming out of the bottle corked! Was drinkable and did wonders for my congested nose & head, but not much for my palate:). Oh well, the first 2 bottles were nice!

1+ hour decant is definitely needed. If you can't guess this is French from the nose, better drink a lot more wine! Not much fruit, but gigantic olive and coriander flavors, supplement an overall earthiness that makes you feel like you are walking through a mature vineyard in France. The wine caresses the palate nicely, and has an insanely long finish. Drinking quite nicely now, but you have to like old school French wines!

Classic Chateauneuf! Drinking great for a 2003. Phenomal nose that reminds me of a fireplace at Christmas. Great mix of fruit and earth on the palate, with strong hints of olives and mushrooms. All concluded with a lovely bright finish. Glad I have 2 more bottles!
