Two great vintages in comparison.. they were both clearly elegant and fleshy.. refined tannins!

Lighter fresh red #Burgundy from
An excellent 2005 vintage, that marries well with
#Mediterranean fish as well as veal. Not much oak just vibrant red fruit with sour cherry kick.

Dark, strong, intense. Powerful Pinot that will age gracefully. It’s hard to say how this could get any better.

19. much better than previous 2 bottles. Decanted about an hour ahead. A complete Wine, from nose to finish. Wonderful fruit.

18. 2005. Perfect balance of fruit and maturity, so I wouldn't want to leave it much longer. Not super long, otherwise all you might expect.

19+, 2005. Now this *is* overpowering. Sorry, Chapoutier. Colour still vibrant ruby. Nose deep and complex. And on the palate...rich red fruit, very long. I wish I could afford to buy the 2015.

Broad ripe red fruit. At first, almost spritzy? Settles with dark blue and raspberry. Doesn't have the detail or definition of their other grand Cru. Likeable but not special
