In terms of Barolo, Azelia rarely disappoints. This young 2011 normale has that textbook mix of tar, rose petals, and candied cherry on the nose. Tannins are grippy but not at all harsh. This is so pretty now despite how young it is. #azeliabarolo

Really fun and hits what I look for in Barolo. Very pretty aromatics. Tannins still need to resolve but with the proper meal this wine would work

I love this Barolo. Soft tannins, dark fruit and smooth finish. Brings me back to Italy. Could drink this every night!

On day one this wine showed moments of dark fruit and mint. On day two it opened to a greater level and showed dark berries, minty chocolate, and elements of oak influence wafting in and out.
