So fun to drink this after the 2001 Marroneto. Strikingly similar actually, which is the way it should be and tells me that these are honest producers. Textbook Brunelli, both. This just has more power than the Marroneto.

Deep and rich, smoky tobacco, black cherry, orange and licorice, lovely nose! Classic sangiovese, excellent drop in a hot year, still a fair dollop of chewy tannin in back end
