I’m just not a Sauternes lover. I always get an off putting bitter apricot pit taste, no exception here. Give me a BA or TBA.

Boozy smell... doris said it tasted boozy as well but I find it quite balanced with the syrupy texture. Packed with tons of fruit.

The bright golden yellow '01 Château de Fargues Sauternes 'Lur Saluces' was an extravagant pairing with the Inn on the Twenty Signature Double Espresso Chocolate Torte. A mouthful of caramelized tropical fruit, almond, honey and oaky spice flavors was followed by a gripping, highly perfumed aftertaste. Super dense, almost syrupy in texture. Who needs d'Yquem?

Great dessert wine. Rich and smooth. Can age for years.
