Young and powerful fruit. Fresh blasts of cherry. Good acidity. Still very vital

Deep and smoky on the nose with lots of woodsy and dried herbs and spices throughout the palate. At peak.

Nose of metal and gun flint. Raspberries and dried cranberries in the beginning which evolved to strawberry jam after a while. Still so youthful despite it being almost 20 years old.

1997 - Enjoyable but not as good as the Poggio. Still dark in color with plum notes but a slight off putting note in the finish
