Not sure if it's just this bottle but it seemed to be drying out. Dominated by cedar, Tobacco and moss. A treat to try but side by side the 1981 Lafite had much more youth and intensity.

This was amazing - it is an 81 and the fruit still holds up. The nose and color are still that of a well balanced wine. It is rare to have this treat.

This was supposed to a stunner but I guess this bottle was not stored well. The nose was very weak and the taste was flat, and continue to decline as it breathed.
