Cellared perfectly but had a strange effervescent that took quite sometime to blow off. Doesn't seem to be bacterial.
Besides that, still quite young and tight. Just like most of the 2007's I've had the past two years. Big tannins. 👍

It didn't show well. VA. Other bottles wouldn't have tasted like this.

One of the least expensive ($115) in a 7 wine line-up of 2007 CDPs, it finished 3rd in personal and group ranking in blind tasting. Had this wine in other vintages too and always enjoyable.

2 hour decant. Quite fizzy at opening. Deep ruby with no obvious gradient. Nose and palate reveal dark red fruit, tapenade, herbs and licorice. Smoky, full bodied, soft, smooth but intense. Shows some heat on the back end. Well made, aging well but a bit large for us.

Really solid CDP from 2007. One of the better CDPs I've had recently. Deep and darker fruits than most GSM/CDP blends. Still has substantial structure, which bodes well for its future. Very nice. I look forward to the last bottle in a few years.
