Barossa Boy
Little Tacker Grenache Blend
Anyone else got a little tacker on the move? Baby TC is now 8 months old and there’s no sitting still 😅
Until he’s in bed which is when Mr Spittoon and I can FINALLY enjoy a vino. The days are long 😂
A big thank you to Barossa Boy Wines for this sample of their ‘Little Tacker’ 2017 Grenache Shiraz Mataro. It went down an absolute treat 🍷
We found it a beautiful garnet shade in the glass with candied raspberries, juicy cranberry and spicy chocolate aniseed on the nose. In the mouth it’s silky and smooth with plenty of berries And baking spice 😋 Exactly what mama needs at the end of the day!
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!

Have you met the new boy in town? Barossa Boy is a brand new label, from you guessed it, the Barossa Valley. Winemaker, Trent Burge, is a sixth generation Barossa winemaker who has crafted his stories into his range. Currently available is this ‘Little Tacker’ 2016 Grenache, Shiraz & Mataro blend and there’s also the ‘Double Trouble’ 2016 Shiraz Cabernet. Both retail for $30.
The Little Tacker is a brilliant vibrant garnet colour in the glass. The nose is awesomely peppery with plums blackberries and an underlying earthiness - such a gorgeously seductive nose. On the palate it’s über elegant in structure, with juicy acidity and wonderfully smooth fruits and tannins. It finishes with a big cherry filled finish - it’s safe to say I like to ‘watch this boy walk away’ if you get my drift 😜
