Clear brilliant sunlit yellow, easy on the eyes. Ripe Anjou pear and sour apple candy. The rind of a ripe honeydew; honeycomb, wax and all. Gravel wet with snow melt. Palate is marzapan and lemon meringue. Surprisingly rich at 11%

1 person found it helpfulJun 30th, 2019Serious Chenin! Getting towards the full bodied end of the spectrum. Curious if there’s any RS at 11.9% alc. Honeyed lemon and pear on the palate, which is very slightly waxy. Want to lay a couple of these down.

Nov 25th, 2021Everyone has said pear, and I wholeheartedly agree. Acidity is too low for Chenin, and the finish has an oak-y, oleaginous character. I’m not sold, but I’m also not turning down a second glass to see how it develops.

Feb 6th, 2021Man, what a bang for the buck! Tastes French in structure but characteristically central coast fruit! Sun kissed citrus, chalk, sea salt.
