Small wine producer from winemaker Gustavo Gonzalez who had made notable wines for a number of years. Straw yellow with aromas of stone fruits and sweet spice. On the palate this Napa Chard has concentrated fruits of peach and apricot with bits of honey and citrus. Well balanced, nice acidity and finishes with a creamy nutty flavor, about medium. Very nice.

One of my new favorite Napa Chardonnays, maintains an old world profile with struck flint and reductive characters while maintaining excellent acid.

Mar 30th, 2022Opens tremendously if you allow it to sit in the glass. Honey and peach transform into apple, guava, and citrus leaf aromas. On the palate the wines acidity and honey flavors meld into a delicate and long mineral finish tinged with chamomile.

Pop and pour...carneros hyde vineyard chard...A bewitching medium straw color. On the nose: pear, orange peel, floral. Taste: minerals, earthy, lemon, apricots..with a medium oaky dry finish...ehhh....had better from the hyde vineyard in caneros.
