Rein Schiefer Nierstein Riesling

Lovely. Super mineral and precise. No formal notes. Cooking dinner wine. Really long. Will update tomorrow.

Today it’s super minerally with amazing depth of aroma. Still lean but man does it have breadth. Juicy and clean. Like a Riesling razor. 9.2 to 9.3. Juicy, luscious and lime infused finish.

Super mineral, super grassy, intense lime zest, some peach, but classic lean and mean Schätzel here. Spring water aromas. It smells so pure. Palate is just electric. Tangy and deep but also skeletal and lithe. Very pure and clean with peach and apricot fruit. Lean fruit. Concentrated and pure. Echoes on the palate. Superb structure and echoing finish. Really impressive.

Young but boisterous. Big confectionary nose of citrusy, confectionary sugar, melon, huge mineral and a deep elemental feel. Super terrific nose. Palate is razors and wonderful sappy fruit with that razor acid with brilliant juiciness and purity. Terrific depth. So long and has structure to age. Joyous.

Stunning wine. So so so mineral. Like a razor. I think my 5’oclock shadow is gone now. Mineral and confectionary nose. Chamomile tea, rainwater, so much nuance and hits of tropical fruit pith. Man it’s insanely complex. So deep has that extra. The palate is insane. Just gorgeous and so steely. Lean and acidic but popping with energy and structure. So deep and so much fruit pith. Long and so elegant with brilliant textures. Wow. Jaw dropping what age has done with this.

Apples, high-toned rocky minerals and flowers in the nose. Very linear and electric in the mouth, clean, long, and with great acidity. This was our pre-Rhône varietal tasting palate stretching exercise.

A bit lemonnaidey at first. Needs an hour to calm down and really kick ass. Delicious lemon peel and mineralogy. Really great almost candies peel. So damned deep Great concentration. Long. Really long. Very different. Amazing wine for the price. Bought from Fass Selections.

Been waiting to taste this a long time. Gorgeous nose. Confectionary sugar, tangy citrus, citrus oil and skins, mint, herbs, pepper, white pepper, and more. Also an inviting reductive element. Super aromatic nose. Palate is a dream. So juicy and complex and just so vivid. Minerals galore with superior finesse and such terrific mineral complexity. Such depth, precision and finesse. Stunning stunning wine. Wow.

Reductive, closed nose. Losing primary, and getting to secondary. Closed on finish. But it is all there. Mineral as fuck on the finish. Open for 6 days.

Mineral, passion fruit, apricot, reductive, incredible amount of material. Palate is just insane. Delineation is top notch. Juicy, long, brilliant.
