Black pepper, tannin, acid from down under. Great structure. Tabacco, faint mocha dusted espresso beans. Reminds me of a Dolcetto for some reason. Lovin what Lake County is doing

After hearing a few rumblings about this being an exceptional value Cabernet, I had to investigate. From vineyards around 2400’ elevation in Lake County’s Red Hills, and Aaron Pott oversees the winemaking. Pott’s accolades are as deep as his resume, including winemaker of the year from Food & Wine in 2012. He is considered a top consultant in Napa. The wine takes about an hour to come out of its shell. Medium-bodied, heavy on the Luden’s, but in a good way, with a rich cherry and eucalyptus focus. Not extracted at all, but tons of intensity. Secondary notes of pipe tobacco, clove, and vanilla add depth. Not for everyone, but I can understand why some will really get behind this. For fans of light to medium bodied Cabs, this is a must.

Our best seller. At $22 for an Aaron Pott cabernet, it's not surprising. Never heard of Resolute? That's because it's the very first year for this ambitious project - high quality Cabs from the outskirts of Napa/Sonoma made by Aaron Pott at an extremely affordable price point. One of the most difficult feats for any wine lover is to find a good $20-ish daily drinker, and this wine is surely one of the best in the country

Raspberries, acitone, coffee and slightly tight on the nose. Coffee notes, some dark earthy qualities with some Medium acid and smooth tannins. Some tootsie roll on the finish. Quite tasty. Great qpr!
