Uncomplicated but tasty 1L Monferrat Barbera that sees no oak. A porch sipper, perfect for BBQ or any grill-out meal.

Surprising and pleasant. A “naked” barbera - stainless steel aged, no sulfites. Nicely textured with wild berry notes and some sage & fennel seed. Not flabby and hot like most barberas.

Nice little tailgating wine here for Punch Brothers at the Red Rocks. Just like those guys kickass with a fun vibe, this wine is remarkably tasty and complex but without too much sincerity. I get this really fantastic and hard to capture umami character with nice pasta sauce and mushroom notes. Surprising because of the color which is this transparent red, not quite rosé. Was not expecting such depth. Still has some fresh fruit, but it’s not what makes this such a pleasure.

first sip i thought it was a cab franc ! started out super juicy and fruity. nose is milky, blackberry. as it breathes a bit it reveals a little heat, more dark berries and herbs as i know barbera to be. grippy, medium tannins but balanced by the acids. short finish. great buy. $20 for a liter ! easy bang for ya buck.
