Unfortunately this is not the Châteauneuf-du-Pape, merely the Côtes du Rhône from Domaine Roger Perrin's Maison la Berthaude label, but Delectable is asleep at the wheel. High acid with purple flowers, Herbes de Provence, with a slate and chalk finish. The mix of red and black fruit takes a backseat on this one, but what an effort at $10 with its distinctive, character-rich style.

Pleasant, medium-full bodied chateau neuf. Typical notes of blueberry (tending toward blueberry pie), slight Asian spice and tangerine on the nose. Well balanced acidity and tannins.
