Riserva Cannonau di Sardegna

This past Friday night I opened the 2017 Pala Cannonau di Sadengna Reserva. This is a 100% Garnacha from Serdiana, Sardegna, Italy.

On the nose there is strawberry, raspberry, cherry, licorice, tobacco, cinnamon and earth.

On the palate I am finding strawberry, cherry, raspberry, licorice, cinnamon, leather, dried herbs and earth.

This wine is medium to medium + body a nice smooth mouthfeel medium + acidity and medium + grippy tannins that leave you with a long red fruit earthy finish. I hope everyone's weekend was eventful and are looking forward to the week ahead. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷

Intense dark red fruit with a lot of earthiness and spice. Full bodied with a long smooth finish. Easy drinking to the last drop.

Characteristic oaked Grenache with raspberry, sour cherry liquor, notes of smoke, char, vanilla extract, and black tea on the nose. Raspberry, cherry, tart strawberries, notes of black pepper and clove on the palate with strong oak tannin black tea notes on a medium-short finish. Classic oaky Mediterranean showing… very versatile with food; went well with my balsamic vinaigrette veggie sandwich

Extremely pressed with this wine and the complex with the perfect blend of Berry flavors with a little kick of spice on the notes, slight cherry and a long finish especially for a young wine..

Cinnamon and clove delight! Absolutely delicious! On second bottle and would 100% buy again!
