Beautiful Napa cab, but best to decant for 40min to an hour to let it round out around the edges. Big volume, but the finish was a bit shorter than I remember.

12 years and tightly wound, but made leaps and bounds coming to the fore. Incredible rim to rim India black. Botanically rich in licorice and rosemary bordering on Ünderberg. Raspberry liqueur, blackberry jam and charred oak aromas mellowed by sweet madura tobacco and clove. Mint chocolate and vanilla, black currant, hazelnut coffee, and just enough smoke and graphite, to keep it complex and real. A powerfully structured wine from ancient, storied vines!

Aug 5th, 2018This was a big wine, dry and smooth, tannins have smoothed out. Licorice, currents, black cherries. Long oak finish this was a great wine!
