Black berry fruit, some black tea tannins. A bit hot. Tastes like WA cab should.

Perfect with Pat’s grilled filet mignon steak ($27). Classic CS: acidic, aromatic with balanced fruit and smooth finish. I agree with another reviewer that the low ratings surprise me. This is such a food friendly cab.

Still drinking quite nice but time to drink. Very very smooth. Slight amount of pepper on the back end but it has faded quite a bit. Nice intro wine for the night.

Fantastic cab. Boysenberry jam, cocoa butter and thyme on the nose. Lovely acidity, soft tannins and a long finish. Never been a Cabernet person but appreciate the different styles. However this style might be my go-to. Washington cab gets my vote. I’m surprised this wasn’t rated higher but I guess because it doesn’t drink like a jammy California cab it has been deemed inferior... big mistake. Gets a 9.0 from me. Solid A.

Currants and coffee. It has nice structure but is a little on the sharp side for me. You’ll like it better if you like coffee.

Nice everyday red blend from CB. Great with food. Not quite sure I would pay the same price for it again but this first vintage was nice.
