Very drinkable and a solid table wine but not a standout, probably because the last Beaujolais I had was the JFD. still an incredible value and would definitely buy again, even if it’s missing the stark contrast of bright fruit + smoke/minerality that makes gamay what it is.

A journeyman Beaujolais that at $13 is worthy every penny. Let some air get at it for about 30 minutes and serve it with your best roasted chicken. (2016 Vintage.)
