This is a quality bottle from Naked Wines. Not Willamette, just Oregon, but features some Willamette features. Cherry cola, raspberry, and a little earth. Light bodied and nice color. It’s just that the flavors don’t linger and run off too quickly. Still, it’s a good deal for the price.

Medium Garnet. Still a bit young. Had the distinctive Willamette Valley taste profile.

We decanted this for a few hours before drinking, based upon my experience with young PNs, in hopes of dispelling the smoky oak and exposing the fruit. Full disclosure: PN is not in my top ten favorite varietals, with the occasional exception which proves the rule (see my previous reviews for the details). It is still quite smoky and oaky, with dark currant, strawberry, and raisin fruits hiding just out of reach in the smoke and wood. This is likely a great PN for enthusiasts of the French style.

Raspberry/strawberry, still needs time, not as much fruit as id expect, fairly hot wine as well . Good spicy finish. Good for the price.
