Arietta Wines lunch with owner Fritz. We were able to taste through some current releases as well as some reserve wines Fritz brought with him personally. A treat to enjoy these Andy Erickson wines!

Most accessible red on the table. Very inviting and soft. Baked mixed berry pie, graham cracker, dark chocolate, currant, and baking spices on the nose. Smooth on the palate. Mexican vanilla, blue and black fruits, and a small showing of savory smoke. Solid entry level.

Just a few bottles from an awesome Open That Bottle Night celebration this past weekend.

Out of 3L. Rich. Ripe and baked dark fruits. Very soft. Plum, dark cocoa, and fig newton. If this is from a 3L, I’d consider opening these if you have them in 750ml.

Wife loves it till she took a photo. Cork broken when open but overall a very good wine. Floral, blackfruit, mineral, liquorice, bitter sweet and very silky and elegant. Chalky and powdery. Very good timing for drinking. Very smooth

A pretty plum color with garnet hints and a wide brim. All the gorgeous red fruit you’ll ever need on the nose, to go with the smoked oak, mushrooms, and spice. Medium bodied, silky tannins, and plenty of acidity gives this precision and focus. Despite being Arietta’s entry level offering, there’s definitely an elegant mouthfeel. In the mouth, you get chocolate mousse, raspberries, blackberries, licorice, vanilla bean, and just a touch of oak. Cinnamon and more spice on the medium to long finish. A beautiful wine, especially considering it’s entry level status.
