Dry, but not too dry. Great flavor. No hint of sour. Full bodied.

Surprisingly very good. Crisp, clean taste. Not overly fruity. Would definitely buy again, especially at this price point.

2015v. Dark violet. On the nose: blackberry, black cherries, rose, and black currants. On the palette, there's plenty of ripe dry black fruit, and brown sugar, vanilla, walnuts, and smoky cedar. Tannins are pretty soft for a young wine. Acidity at about a medium. Overall, a crowd pleasing wine with a lot of different flavor notes- but nothing distinctly cab jumps out. 14% ABV.

Very acidic, spicy on the nose, not very oaky. The problem is the finish, to many berry notes, not balanced, and not smooth as the bottle described.

Joseph Carr has recently produced his second label, "Josh Cellars." Joseph would sit around "the garage" he called a wine cellar, and tinker with a few things handcrafting wines that he jokingly refer to as a "vin de garage." To me this Cab has too much "Garage". Dark Ruby with heavy spice nose masking fruit. On the palate some blackberry fruit peaks through the strong pepper and oak flavors. Tannins are rustic and strong, doubtful they will soften this wine. Finish was off balance. Pass. Tasting Sample.

A friend of mine buys Josh Cellar’s Cabernet Sauvignon by the case and brings a bottle to parties as the host’s gift, and I have just now come around to appreciate his genius. Josh Cabernet is SOLID, this is exactly what any Cabernet grape fan is looking for without all the fru-fru of a $30 bottle. To all red wine lovers, it’s helpful when tasting to have a baseline at various levels, and Josh needs to be added to your list immediately to serve as the barometer between slightly-above and very-above average wines. With Josh Cabernet you’ll get a pleasant mouth feel, a delicate balance of tannins and acidity, and notes of both the dried fruits (think “trail mix”) and oaky-vanilla from barrels. With big thanks to my friend, I now highly recommend Josh Cellar’s Cabernet Sauvignon to anyone looking to be the party guest that your host will not forget.

Black fruit aromas with a hint of roasted almonds and dried rose petals. Black cherry, graphite and almond on the pallet along with notes of dark cocoa, vanilla and fresh herbs. Tannins are firm but this wine is quite young. Needs a decant.
